The direct way Salzburg-Venice is NOT via Brenner > Bolzano > Verona

Next, recently Brenner Autobahn was closed ... strikes. Now St. Gotthard is closed for weeks, that might bring some more traffic to Brenner. Other than this, Bolzano is pretty nice, also the villages, mountains nearby.
