I'm looking at booking a flight from LHR to SYD on or around the 8th of january, is there anyway of finding out whether or not any seating is available on the upper deck? (Yes, I'm one of those people who prefer the upper deck - so please, no "I wouldn't bother" responses please! )

I know that once a booking is made through checkmytrip you can see the seat map and availability, but I assume theres no way to do this without a valid booking?
