Im always amazed that when something goes wrong, its automatically the crew's fault. The crew had nothing to do with the decision on how the catering should be handled, and more than likely were embarrassed by the solution that operations came up with.
We are talking about offloading food first, then carrying empty cart upstairs. After that, they can reload food in there. Sure, it would take some time, but it still "CAN" be done in reasonable time.
