The shuttle ride from the aiport to the hotel is about 40 minutes. I took it from the HR to the airport and it made two stops before heading to the airport. It cost 1,300 Yen (less than $13 USD).
Sorry, I don't know how long a train/subway to the hotel would take, but I'm certain it would take more time than the airport shuttle.
I took train ride once last year from KIX airpt to Hyatt Osaka, and it requires xfr 3 times for duration of more than 70 minutes -- if you have luggage it is too much hassle. I now take the easier way via the Airpt Limo Bus service, which takes 60 minutes and door-to-door.
I recall there is no direct Airpt Limo Bus service from Hotel to Itami, you actually have to take the free Hotel shuttle to JR Osaka, then xfr to the Airport Limo Bus service at the various pickup points nearby, to be able to go to Itami.
