Sort of. Modern yield management models often open up more lower fare class seats closer to departure. Getting some revenue for a seat > getting no revenue at all (so long as it doesn't push the flight into an oversell).
All this is assuming you are talking about the weekend sale fares.
EDIT: I just reread your post and saw this was for a flight 3 months out.
