I guess the reason that this doesn't happen to me is I rarely connect (flying out of a hub on the hub carrier), and if I do, I connect on the first available flight (again, these flights are usually only a couple flights a day, because they aren't direct from Detroit so for the most part they are smaller citys). I can't remember the last time I connected more than once (actually untrue, it was more than 10 years ago though).
