I live near Cal Ripkens hometown of Aberdeen MD. A few years ago Cal brought a minor league baseball team to town and built a beautiful ballpark alongside I-95. Recently they have started developing several hundred acres around the ballpark as part of the Ripken Academy for baseball--there are going to be several fields and instructional facilities--culminating in the Cal Ripken World Series in August.
They are in the process of building another large stadium on the site which will be a miniature replica of Camden Yards in Baltimore--including the right field warehouse. The kick is the warehouse is going to be a one of a kind CY/RI with 198 rooms that will overlook the new ballpark. It looks like the place might be open by the end of summer.
A really interesting looking property--still not showing up on the Marriott website for future availability.
