Ok, this is what I am going to try. I get to LGW on Sunday morning on the outbound leg. I am 7,000 miles from GM, and I will get Gold status at the completion of the return leg. The CRC membership fee is $350 for Silver and $300 for Gold. I am going to try to sweet-talk the attendant at ATL to sell me the membership at the rate for GM members, if they say "no" at ATL I'll try again at the Arrivals loung at LGW. If they say "no" there, I will suck it up and pay the $25 for the one visit pass and have a nice shower....If I get the $300 deal of course I'll put it on my Amex to get the miles
