About 2 years ago I was in MKE scheduled to leave on a Comair flight (to CVG). At the gate next door, a reg DL flight that had been delayed (4 hours) due to mechanical problems was getting ready to leave to CVG. Since I had my bags with me I asked the agent if I could change flights (turns out they had accommodated all but 3 other passengers already so flight was empty) and she agreed and booked me in "F". 2 weeks later I get an apology letter form Delta with $75 voucher telling me how sorry they were for the delay that day. For the life of me I could not figure out why they would send this money and letter (as they never had before) when it dawned on me that they thought I had bought a First Class ticket. Oh well I still did not feel guilty using the voucher (figured it was poetic justice for some other nasty delays I have endured over the years).
