Just adding that while the regular LAX-JFK Z fare was $809 one way ($1618 roundtrip), the regular SFO-JFK Z fare was $1109 one way ($2218 roundtrip). So, in the SFO-JFK market, the savings are even bigger ($1299 vs $2218 roundtrip) at 41% discount.
