the idea of going from west l.a. all the way out to the 605 and doubling back on the 210 is nucking futs. even with no traffic, you're guaranteed to add an extra 20-30 min. and the 605/10 interchange is always jammed.
during the day, the 110 north has only 2 significant slow spots: the transition from the 105 to the 110N (unless you're in the carpool lane), and the interchange with the 10 just before downtown. once you get past dodger stadium, the 110N is a breeze--even during rush hours.
