On the "don't try this at home kids" front: there are some pretty big differences in protein content (amongst other things) between cow's milk and human milk that can lead to strain on little human guts and kidneys (and occasionally some serious health problems) when young infants are fed straight cow's milk. Although I must admit that I've never looked at the nutritional content of calf milk replacement (vs. cow's milk).

So, check the label first and make certain the nutritional content is the same before considering a trip to the feed store instead of Shopper's Drug Mart.
