I've done it a few times...always via CTA. It's about an hour and twenty minutes in transit. With all the walking on both ends, plan for 1:45 max. You will probably beat that by a few minutes.

The drive in perfect conditions - walk outside, jump in a cab, no traffic - is maybe 45 minutes.

With traffic, it could vary widely. Waiting for a shuttle could vary widely. I'd probably do for a cab if you are in a big hurry or the train if 1:45 is acceptable.
