Thanks to FT I have refined my strategy and successfully use the best deals from some *A FFPs to get more out of it.
Flying enough to qualify SEN every year means you travel enough to make such a strategy worthwhile, and probably also enough to get a second *G status. However if 90% of travel is intra-europe on LH metal there won't be much additional benefit from a second *G status (the main benefit of a second or third *G status is usually limited to flying their own metal - eg extra upgrades, improved lounge access, extra baggage allowance).
So it makes sense to concentrate on maximising your mileage, or even considering whether Miles & More is the best primary program for you and switching altogether. What class of travel (and discount or full economy)? What do you want to use your miles on?
