Sorry, I thought you just had 6 hrs from arrival to departure. With that revised time frame i'd recommend the zoo (it is good) as your proposed schedule for Singapore looks rather "pedestrian" IMO.

Infact, if you went straight from the airport to the zoo, you'd be there in time to have breakfast with the orangutans and without wanting to preach, showing the young an endangered species (and a very funny one at that) will hopefully in the longer term impart a great deal more inspiration than being able to say he's been on a double decker bus in Asia...
