Yes, a 14 day pass will suit you best. It's also valid system wide anywhere in Japan. Unlike regional passes, one can't purchase a JR pass in Japan. You need to buy an exchange voucher via a travel agent. It's best if you can reserve seats on those bullet trains ,without a fee, when you have the voucher exchanged at one of the major JR stations.
