Other than the fact I don't like asparagus, this sounds like am interesting option that can be seen as a challenge to pull together all the ingredients. It might even work with some other veg as well such as green beans. ^
I was wondering if melting a toblerone with a packet of pepper might work to make something such as cashew crust chicken with mole sauce.
