Its been awhile since I tried to use the Silver Wings fares (mostly because you can often get better deals depending on the routing/destination), but I
believe that these book in W class and therefore all the normal rules for upgrade instruments should apply. Note: this comment refers to domestic bookings only although I did book a Canadian destination trip and upgraded with no problems.
