YYZ-MIA via LGA flight 573 - has a 47 minute connection in LGA then on to MIA. Can I stay on board same seat etc., vs. getting off? If so this is a viable option for a flight to MIA with an overnight stay.
If the segment is an inbound or outbound international one (regardless of pre-clearance), I all but guarantee you will need to get off. AA requires a security check at each first and last point of entry/exit from/to non-sovereign US soil.
