Ahhh, BAA and their facilites. I read on the signs about 'developing enhanced retail facilities' - but the outcome always seems to be a 'shop'.

Anyway - taking this truly OT. How would you have got to Maplin airport had it been built?

Simple answer - take motorway that goes south of Southend.

Don't believe me? Well, pausing only to firmly zip up your anorak first, check http://www.pathetic.org.uk/motorways/m13.shtml
