Once on board the cabin crew will hear several similar stories.... as before some genuine some not!!!!
I would suggest either upgrading your current ticket, or, asking to upgrade on board which will cost less but, may not be available.
As was pointed out before, a back injury will prevent you from being a emergency exit candidate
