Thanks, UDH, for the heads up on this new campaign. It does seem a somewhat comical theme considering the state of the airline industry.
I played the radio commercials and the mention of the DL brand seemed almost an afterthought. It's like they're trying to discourage travel in general with this campaign.
DL and their agency, Leo Burnett, focus group these commercials to death and I'm surprised the double meaning of "get used to staying at home" didn't surface.
Considering DL is bleeding red ink and are catering to a mostly captive audience in ATL...where the bulk of these commercials will run...it seems a monumental waste of money to run this campaign.
But, again, little that DL has done recently makes any sense to me.....
