Personally, I'd have been on my cell phone to Marriott or IHG the moment the word "cancel" came out of the mouth of the GA. Been there, done that, as recently as two months ago. Inconvenient, yes, but such is life. But, as kharma would have it, the flight the next day found us getting a two for one upgrade into C for our SFO-KIX flight. Attitude is everything, IMO.
