This situation is different from the last round of point increases.

Last time, if you issued an award certificate you could use that certificate for a full year... change the date of reservations, no problem. That's because the changed was the PRICE OF A SPECIFIC AWARD. You already HAD that award, under the old rate. No problem.

This time what's changing is not the price of each award, but WHICH AWARD IS REQUIRED for a specific hotel.

So this time if you make a reservation prior to June 1 and issue an award, but then you change the dates, you will need a DIFFERENT award. So you'd need to redeposit the first award and issue a new, different one.

So I'm pretty sure what the original poster was told is incorrect.
