Exclamation My Email To CO......Don't Laugh!!!!

Here's a copy and paste of my email to CO this morning, after a round-trip ending on Saturday, YYZ-EWR-FLL-IAH-YYZ, to visit family in Lauderdale.

I'm putting it on FT because I was really pleasantly surprised by the flights and staff I encountered everywhere in the CO system, after not being on a CO flight in over 40 years.

Don't laugh at my attempts to compliment CO, the service and flights were fine, and I sincerely enjoyed flying them, so though my email to CO may be a bit amatuerish, it is sincere.

In times of lousy service from lots of industries, and complaints abounding everywhere, this, from a not-frequent-flyer on CO (I'd have used AA or AC if their fares were competative), may be of interest.

Here goes:

Dear CO Team, (including Larry)
Just returned home from a roundtrip from YYZ-EWR-FLL-IAH-YYZ, leaving on 5/23 and finishing this past evening, 5/27.
I've gotta compliment you!!!
Hadn't flown CO since 1964 (really!)on my way to report to FT. Bliss in ELP for my Army duty, and my regular airlines have been AA and AC. My Mom (she's 96 years old, in FLL) suffered hurricane damage last Oct. to her condo in FLL, and has been without air conditioning since then, but this is the first I could get down there since then. Your fares were better then anyone else's, so even though I couldn't get the nonstop from YYZ-FLL on AC, I gave CO a try.
Three of my four segments left right on time (414 was late because of mechanicals that had to be looked after from IAH yesterday), your agents and flight crews were friendly and professional in all respects, your aircraft were clean and well maintained, and your phone staff (and tech staff) were helpful and accomodating. TripAlerts and online checkin and boarding pass availability was perfect (problem getting a faxback on Friday night to the hotel for the return flights, but Michelle at your tech desk faxed back immediately, and the fax I had requested originally via the online checkin from the hotel finally came through a couple of hours later).
The "no-meal" flight down to Fla. surprised me with the meat filled bun and packet of baby fresh carrots. Unusual, (the carrots), but appreciated nonetheless. All when other airlines are charging for coach meals.
What can I say? All in all, a very pleasant surprise overall, and an excellent experience for me this week on CO. You will be getting more of my wife's and my business whenever possible.
My only complaint (not your fault), is I wish there were more moving walkways at terminal C's in both EWR and IAH. At 64 years young, I can't quite run as fast as when I was on the track team in high school.
By the way, now that I've finally actually flown on CO for the first times since I got the cardboard OnePass card when I enrolled a few years ago, do you think you might be able to now send me a real plastic OnePass membership card that I can use in the kiosks at the terminals?
I don't know if I'll ever make it to OnePass elite membership, as I'll be retiring at the end of this year, but that gives us more time for leisure travel so you may again be hearing from us for flight reservations. My wife is originally from Belfast, and you may see us either this year or next on your EWR-BFS roundtrip.
Thanks again for a fine flight exerience this past week, and please send me a new, real, OnePass card.

Sincerely,
Jeff XXXXXXX
