The most unique and creative flyers aide I have ever seen

I just got back from a San Franciso to chicago plane flight and it was quite an eye opening experience. Naturally the plane's seating accommodations were packed - full up and I was "trapped" in the middle seat with an extra large customer on each side of me. I expected to be in for a real rub ride for nearly four hours with lots of elbow and arm intrusions to my phunnie space.

As I sat in my seat waiting for departure and having allready purused my tattered copy of Sky Mall, the gent to left reached into the pockets of his rather sharp looking black suede vest and withdrew a pair of black gloves with out fingers. At this point I was not sure of why he was doing this and I was making sure he was not going to try and make a move to light his shoes.

As we taxied and lifted off into the sky the man fitted the fingerless gloves to his hands and simply crossed / folded his arms across his chest and settled into the flight looking to find a comfortable position and sleep the time away.

The man in black sat there very quietly as I tried to fathom why he would wear a pair of fingerless gloves. A little time went by and he peeled his hands from his vest and repositioned his arms across his chest and that's when I began to comprehend the nature of this guys use of gloves.

I don't usually speak with fellow flyers beyound the cursoray hello and excuse me I need to use the head. But I did take the time to get this guys story. The guy's name was Scott and he explained to me that he had purchased a special comfort travelers vest off of E Bay.

He said it was called the Kling Tut Comfort Travel Vest and that it was designed for people to wear when flying or in any confined community seating accommodations to allow them to maintain arms folded across one's chest with out the usual muscle strain that would occurr when the position had to be held for any length of time.

Scott said it works because the vest's black suede like appearance is actually a velcro compatabile surface and that's what allows the fingerless hand mitts to adhere to any portion of the vest. He showed me that there is a small specially shaped winglet of velcroe hook along the thumb and fore finger of the hand mitts. He also said that the hand mitts were universal so there was no left or right mitt and the one size fits all as well.

Scott said that the Kling Tut vest works better than he had ever expected and that no matter if he is flying short hoppers or those 13 hour rides to japan and or europe, he is able to sleep much better, keep warmer and not INTRUDE into his fellow passengers space ! That is one of the things I really appreciated about this product since it left me only having to deal with 1 extra large flyer invading my space from the right side of me.

I must say that the vest looked really nice and scott showed me the 2 inside passport pockets and full vest lining. The hand mitts were made from neoprene and were designed to leave a person with full range of hand motion as well. Scott also said that he paid $ 70.00 for the vest and felt that it was well worth it and it was robustly built and still functioned as a wearable vest when not using it for confined seating. While I am NOT an extra large person, I can see the appeal and ulitarian practicality of this comfort travelers vest. I am going to pick one up and experiment with it on all my next flights.
