I use the "larger" Kensington adapter and find that it works well both on planes and on the ground (120/220V outlets). Never had a problem with it.

I saw a vending machine at SFO selling laptop air adapters for $140. I guess if the flyers had no other option they might cough up the money (or plastic) to buy it from that machine...
