I don't know if this is of any value to you and since I live in Mexico some of the promotion might be different but here's what just happened to me.

I've had a Gold Aeromexico Amex for awhile now and they called to offer me a the Platinum card and I was about to turn them down until they told me about the 2X1 on first class tickets. I'm going on a cruise out of Rome in September and would have bought the first class tickets anyway, maybe on a different route, but by using the card I saved at least $2000 on the air for this trip alone. I have no idea where you're planning to go on your honeymoon but the price of one first class ticket may not be that different that 2 coach tickets and would be a great way to start your honeymoon.

I was also given 32,000 kilometers which is good for a domestic RT ticket. The difference from what I paid for the Gold and what I will pay for the Platinum is only $200 and I think that it my case it was well worth it.
