Well the micro-roasting craze has Portlanders in a tizzy. Here are a couple of boutique roasters:

Blue Gardenia
A mixture of estate and lot selections from four growing regions, each roasted to separate profile before combining. Loam is a paced, structured espresso - a complex but not heavy body sets the tone for its delicate balance of Mexican and bittersweet chocolates, cardamom, cinnamon, hints of dried berries and blackberry purée. Sel-de-mer, clover honey, and lemongrass overtones add balanced, bright highlights that round out the flavor.
