The OP sounds like my flight back from LCA last week, albeit mine was on CY. The fun part for me was that after one hour of delay at the terminal, the captain finally pipes up to say that the reason is that they are still waiting for one passenger. ONE PASSENGER!! I hope to heaven that he was the president or something!

... oh yeah, and the obligatory 20min delay before landing at LHR.
