This was announced on FT several months ago....probably before you started monitoring the forum. The CRC admittance is for day of travel and you don't even have to belong to the DL SM's program. Just show your ticket and your Platinum AMEX card and you're in.
Note this is for the "real" AMEX Platinum card and not the DL Skymiles Platinum.
