Heh. Whatever they may or may not 'realize', Air India doesn't have a _prayer_ of joining *A.

When we were working in the Gulf, we often went to India for r&r and usually took Air India because it was cheap and direct. Unfortunately, it is also far and away the absolute worst of the 25-30 carriers I have flown in my life -- worse than Aeroflot, worse even than Turk Hava Yollari. Dreadful.
