my fav if you've got kids around (or even if you dont!) one of the nice place around london which doesnt break a student's wallet (and you can have non-student-ly expectations!!!) is giraffe. YEs i know its a chain but it simply makes you feel a couple of years younger (for the case of kids, older) and wouldnt make you feel you've been riped off for paying for substandard food.
