Everyone has their favorite malt, but mine is far and away The Balvenie 15, Single Barrel. Can't be beat. One of the best places to have a wee tipple (if you havenae already been there) is the Sheep's Heid Inn, near Duddingston Loch on the backside of Arthur's Seat. The place dates from 1360, and past visitors included Mary, Queen of Scots and Bonnie Prince Charlie. 'Tis a fantastic place to have a few, and the food is quite good.
Sounds wonderful- that's going on our list of places to stop! We're part of the group that's aware that there's a UK outside of London- we were in the Orkneys last year and loved it.
My husband informed me that Bushmill's is Irish. Oops. I would have remembered that if I hadn't posted before my first cup of coffee in the morning. I will NOT ask for Bushmill's at Royal Mile Whiskies!
