No, having the extension doesn't open up new holes. Most browser holes exploit bugs in the rendering engine. So when you view with the FF engine, you're vulnerable to FF exploits, and with IE you're vulnerable to IE exploits. I
agree, most sites have vastly improved their FF experience. Any business that isn't working towards FF compatability is making a big mistake. Most sites are seeing > 10% FF traffic.
