The reason behind offering this in main cabin is because we felt as though there were a number of people that would appreciate being able to purchase something that was satisfying and somewhat healthy. Of course, if there are leftovers, our First Class customers are welcome to have one at no cost. There usually are a few left.
I think this is a fantastic idea but I think it would probably be simpler for AS (and less aggrivating for F pax) if AS just offered the same meal in both F and Y. AS could do as it does with alcohol and charge Y pax for the meal while providing it for free to F. Loading two different meals seems overly complicated.
