Everyone has their favorite malt, but mine is far and away The Balvenie 15, Single Barrel. Can't be beat. One of the best places to have a wee tipple (if you havenae already been there) is the Sheep's Heid Inn, near Duddingston Loch on the backside of Arthur's Seat. The place dates from 1360, and past visitors included Mary, Queen of Scots and Bonnie Prince Charlie. 'Tis a fantastic place to have a few, and the food is quite good.

I'm headed over that way for Memorial Day weekend, and can't wait, as I've been suffering withdrawal. I moved back to the states this past August, and have not been to EDI since February. Am very much looking forward to the sun being up in the sky about 20hrs/day. Absolutely fantastic this time of year...doesn't even get dark in the far northern sky on a clear night.
