I can actually empathize with
zvezda on this. With no disrespect meant towards
cawhite and
StarG (who have done a great job organising this, btw ^ ) I was also under the impression that PayPal was the
only option for the deposit. I had issues with my PayPal account that only got resolved around 15 May, and if they had not been resolved by the deadline, I would simply have not paid the deposit and skipped the Mozaic dinner. It didn't occur to me to PM the organisers to ask if there were alternatives
, and I'm sure that it didn't occur to
zvezda as well.
Having said that, I wouldn't cancel all my plans over a minor logistical incident involving one dinner. Its Bali, its a long weekend, and there are plenty of other opportunities to hang out with crazy, jetlagged FTers
