This just occured to me, wondering if this has happend to anyone else.

I called the diamond desk to reserve a room, which I have done numerous times. When I check in, I give the hotel my corporate rate and they apply it. The Diamond desk always told me this was the way to do this, and I never had any problems.

However this trip, when I checked in I was told that because I booked on the Diamond desk I was NOT allowed to apply a corporate rate. The guest services told me that next time I should just call the hotel instead of the diamond desk.....She said this was a new policy they were being asked to enforce.

I assume many other FT'ers out there also use corporate rates, has this occured to anyone else?? For me this means my diamond status does not guarentee me a room anymore since I need to use corporate rate.
