AC859 is an evening flight, not an overnight flight, thus no kit. Overnight entails the likelihood of sleeping for a significant portion and arriving the next morning. This late flight ex-LHR arrives in Canada before midnight and thus means one's primary sleep will occur "at home" and not on the plane.

I had a bag that didn't make it with me on an overnight to LHR a year or so ago, and after providing the details to the AC baggage agent, he handed me a rather nice amenity kit containing a more heftly selection of toiletries: roll on deoderant, shaving cream, razor, toothbrush and toothpaste, comb and small hair brush, mouth wash and a few other items. The case was about the same size as AC's old inflight kits, but this was nylon with the more traditional DOP case zippered design, in a dark green colour with red AC logo.
I thought that I might be pushing my luck with the LH ground agent in SVO asking for a kit given the immigration and customs forms I had to fill out for the missing bag.

Customer service in Russia is often still a work in progress even for western companies doing business there.
