I've had 2 missing stays in the past 8 weeks. Very normal, U.S. full-service Renaissance stays, direct-booked via Marriott.com. One of them they eventually got right. The other I'm still about 4400 points short, and I've just given up. I write emails that get completely misinterpreted, forwarded to tech support, or just plain ignored. I've faxed as well. The stay was posted one day as a negative amount. Then the next day posted as a positive amount, with some random adjustment added, then the negative one was removed but my point value didn't change. Total mess...at the end of it all, I'm still short but I don't care.
In the previous 3-4 years, they've only jacked up once, and that time I know exactly what happened: an MVCI property incorrectly thought I was on an ineligible timeshare promo rate. (That one was easily fixed with 1 fax to Marriott Rewards.)
The past two months seems different. System problems. It's annoying.
