Actually, in the interests of FT consumer analysis, I checked out the (now remembered) "Berry Delight". It was unlike the "Splices" of my youth which were frozen ice confection with an icecream core. It was more of an Ice-Cream with a frozen fruit pulp coating.

Having experienced the rock hard 'mini' magnums recently, I was quite wary, but was pleasantly suprised. While still very cold, the ice-cream was quite soft.
