The concept for intercity express trains will be to have them all stop at the new HBF (central) station plus one of the outlying stations (Ostbahnhof (E), the new Suedkreuz (S) or Gesundbrunnen (N)), Spandau (NW), or Wannsee (SW)). Zoo was deemed too close to HBF (4 minutes away by nonstop regional train, or 3 stops on the S-Bahn) than the other "outlyers". I, too, will miss it as an ICE station.
