We usually depart OAK 3pm in the afternoon (or Sat a.m.) and rarely have a long wait. They have added more detectors at t-2, and the line is usually <10min (and often <5 min). SAT afternoon should be a breeze.

BTW, early a.m. the lines in T-1 are usually bad as all the OTHER carriers have early a.m. flights to hubs. So we use T-2 on those rare occasions when we are flying early (and flying the competition)
