Despite the advice given here, the "unofficial" rule is that it must be changed before midnight of the day you check out ( or is it check-in? ) either way you have passed that deadline.

You might get lucky but I am pretty sure they cannot be thrilled about stayers making self-beneficial changes after the fact.
