You keep saying
choose but as we've seen, sometimes there aren't choices other than separate tickets.
For example, when airlines are "plated" on another airlines ticket-stock, there is a cost to the former, a gain to the latter.
That's why AC charges a $50 plating fee for a ticket on another airline without any AC segments present. AC doesn't do it for free, nor should it.
The only part I don't understand is limiting AC-AC connectivity in the same fashion.
