Miles on Lufthansa's European flights
I'm fairly new to the whole frequent flyer thing and therefor might be lacking the overall picture. I fly about 4-6 segments a month inner Europe. I can choose the airline I want to fly and the company then books the cheapest available, suitable ticket on that airline. I fly Lufthansa. We have the policy of booking economy on every flight that is less than 3 hours. So very often I fly in E, L, T or U. These give only 125 miles per segment, what I consider quite a rip-off.
I have been skipping through United's webpage and seen that credit 100% for every economy class flight except L and T. My flights however are usually E. I don't know how many miles HAM-GOT are for instance. I do believe it is more than 125. Or am I misinterpreting the "100%"? Would it in that case not make more sense to go for Mileage Plus? Or at least use Mileage Plus on those flights? Or there something I am missing...?
