As another poster pointed out, it is not necessary to go through Immigrations, Customs, etc., at Tokyo-Narita to make a connection between Terminal 2 and Terminal 1.

You should be able to have your baggage checked from origin to destination and just stay in international transit. If you are on two seperate tickets, show your second ticket to the first airline when you check-in and request they check your luggage all the way through to your final destination.

If you were to go through Immigrations, Customs, and then transfer terminals, check-in with another airline, go through exit passport control, security, etc., two hours is not sufficient. One can easily spend 45 minutes in line for immigrations at Narita alone.

Stay airside, do not enter Japan, and stay in international transit. Check in with the second carrier airside at terminal 1.
