I couldn't agree more; hence my strong feelings about the day-of-departure upgrade policy.

"Generous" does not necessarily mean "good" or "fair." I don't necessarily want DL to make its program more generous or to match AA's program. As a top-tier flyer, I want to see a sharper distinction between the top tier and the riffraff . Right now, the only major difference is the PMUs, which are difficult to use.
