I saw an application for a Skypoints Amex Card. It is a DL Amex that accumulates Skypoints instead of Skymiles. 20,000 Skypoints qualifies for 75% off the fare of a DL flight (applies up to the first $500) - no blackout dates or seat restrictions.

This is a new one on me. Any thoughts on how this compares to the traditional accumulation of Skymiles.

Do the fares purchased with cash + Skypoints earn miles?
